Southwark's conservation areas cover some of London's most important landmarks including Tower Bridge, Southwark Cathedral and the Tate Modern at Bankside. REAL were commissioned to prepare Conservation Area Appraisals for ten of the areas on the riverside and in Camberwell and Peckham, providing detailed historic and visual analysis and written descriptions. The appraisals will provide the Borough with documentation to use as key tools in guiding development and determining planning applications in the Conservation Areas.
